Telemast Drum Tipper – ATEX

We were recently asked by a major pharmaceutical company to design a powered GMP stainless-steel drum tipper, capable of lifting to almost 4 metres in an ATEX area. The custom telemast we designed safely achieves this lifting height, whilst also handling other key requirements. To avoid obstructions in the production area, we limited the rotation angle of the drum to 105 degrees when the mast is fully extended, whereas an angle of 135 degrees is available at lower heights.
The custom-made girdle locks to provide a perfect grip on the drum and the clip-on 316 stainless-steel hopper and Jacob valve ensure the controlled, hygienic flow of contents.
As the lifter functions in an ATEX area, all components are certified as compliant with ATEX regulations. For safe charging of the battery, the plug-in charger is designed to be located in an appropriate safe room.
